Clinical Trials Ontario (CTO), realizing the importance of participants’ experiences in clinical trials, has started a project related to enhancing participants’ experiences in clinical trials. This project is a cross-stakeholder, non-competitive initiative and we invite members of the entire clinical trials community including investigators, sponsors, research ethics boards, contract research organizations, health charities and patient organizations, and clinical trials participants, to collaboratively work with us to develop a ‘best practices’ toolkit.
The project began in the fall with workshops to help CTO kick it off and to gain insights on what CTO should be doing to help its community. Building on the fall workshops, we are hosting two webinars (they will be the same content, just different dates and times) that are open to anyone in the clinical trials community who wishes to contribute to this project. Please register for one of the webinars through the following links (you will be sent webinar information once you register):
February 12, 2-3 pm Eastern
February 13, 2-3 pm Eastern
In these webinars, you will learn about the groundwork completed to date on this project, and you will be asked for your own input about the project as well as what you feel CTO’s priorities should be in terms of moving things forward. Input received during the webinars will inform content development for CTO’s March 23rd pre-conference workshop that is also being hosted to continue to move this project forward.
