Sophie Craig

Sophie is a passionate advocate for health equity and patient engagement, with a background in social determinants of health. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Health from St. Francis Xavier University, where she built a strong foundation in understanding the systemic factors that influence health outcomes.

Following her graduation, Sophie completed a policy and advocacy internship at Jack.org, where she worked to advance youth mental health initiatives through strategic advocacy campaigns and knowledge mobilization. As someone with lived experience, she brings a unique perspective to healthcare conversations

Sophie is a cochlear implant recipient and participated in a SickKids clinical trial from infancy to age 18 due to her diagnosis of Waardenburg Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that resulted in hearing loss.

Now, she is eager to continue learning and contribute to the health field, with a particular interest in strategic communications as a tool to solve healthcare challenges and improve patient centricity. In her spare time, Sophie enjoys staying active and spending time with friends.
